Mr. Schaffner founded Capture The Flag Golf, LLC (DE) in 2005 with ideation having begun in 2003 regarding the creation of unique fundraising events.

CTF’s initial goal was to drive awareness for Special Olympics® programs – at the state level – in order to help maintain its national-level golf programs through the creation of a grassroots-based, closest-to-the-flag event series. This campaign ended up running through 2008 and as part of such he coordinated the implementation these events in cooperation with CMAA’s Clubs Collecting for Communities® as well as established the initiative’s relationships with other supporting partners – including Golf® and Health® magazines and various golf equipment manufactures – to ensure that all participants in the CTF Grassroots™ program had a rewarding experience.

Since, CTF™ has continued to expand its reach with other sports and event-centric efforts through the development of fundraising campaigns tailored to the goals of the other not-for-profit organizations it assists. Over the years, it also has supported for-profit companies on a project-specific basis primarily related to charitable outreach, cause-related endorsements, venue evaluation and event sponsorships.

CTF™ is currently attempting to drive awareness for the availability of Paramobiles at selected golf courses to specifically enable those who have served our country in the United States Armed Forces and have sustained mobility-challenges to play golf and, once again, enjoy a day on the links with their friends and family.
